Interiors of Erie, Inc. was established in 1982 by Pat Yahn and was located on West 12th Street where the LaPlace Plaza now stands. In 1991, Susan Wendel purchased the business and moved it to the present location. She grew the business from a small firm to one that offers a full line of products and services.
Concurrently, she created the UltraClean blind-cleaning service. With the growth of the UltraClean division, Interiors of Erie began taking on large-volume blind installations. Together, both services grew large enough to split and in 2008, Eric Wendel purchased UltraClean from Interiors of Erie.
At Interiors of Erie, we take pride in what we do and spend a great deal of time on the details of our service. Community leaders have recognized us many times, including former mayor of Erie, Joyce Savocchio, for excellent business practices and by the Athena Foundation as an outstanding business. We also continually take part in entrepreneurial and interior design education programs.
